SS 2013 Collection
The new line of Pin1876 scarves combines the finest raw materials with a uniquely modern style, both factors which have been distinctive features of all the accessory collections by Botto Giuseppe, right from the outset. The brand’s hallmark classic propositions are presented in pure cashmere or cashmere blended with silk, a fibre that adds lightness and transparency, which are welcome in the warmer seasons, to the softness and finesse which characterise these products. The element that adds value to these basic outlines is colour, which is the undisputed protagonist of the collection: from greys to natural colours, from blues to violets, and from reds to oranges, without forgetting more summery shades including sky blue, yellow, pink and lilac.
These same colours are also used in combination with various new dyeing and finishing techniques to give the garments a dégradé effect, or to transform the palette into faded and inconsistent colourways. The “classical” propositions are joined by articles made from linen and cotton fibres, always blended with silk or cashmere, to give the garments a fresh sheen and a fluid feel for a typically summery look. The unmistakable Infinity ring, which has been a feature of the Pin1876 range since the first collection, and the more classical shawl and scarf form factors, are joined by other propositions, obtained using special cutting and manufacturing techniques. And so we find that the range of rectangular pieces includes a kefia size, which enhances the designs and prints featured in the collection, giving them a young and dynamic feel. Completing the jersey knit section in the line is an unusual, raw-cut, trapezoid non-shape, which expresses a trendsetting dégagé sense of taste.
Infinite. Like a circle. The Infinity scarf symbolises Pin1876, while its name encapsulates the spirit of an iconic accessory which can be used in an infinite number of ways. Presented in cashmere jersey knit, with a broad range of colourways and patterns, Infinity is available in various sizes: from the practicality and elegance of the small version, which can be worn in place of a tie to define a more urban and disengaged look, to larger and more glamorous versions with a super feminine personality that pampers you in a warm embrace. Wear it under an overcoat or over a jacket and play the layer game with your wardrobe. Because Infinity is more than a scarf; it is a splendid example of fine fabric jewellery to wear in ways that reflect your own personality.
